Ulli Reiner, Conductor

The Poway Community Symphonette, a chamber orchestra, is created for the musician that desires the small ensemble experience.  Music from the Baroque and Classical periods will be explored and prepared for future performances.

This chamber orchestra will meet from 6:00-7:00 pm on Monday evenings at Bernardo Heights Middle School in room 501.
Symphonette orchestra members will also have the opportunity to perform in concert venues throughout the year as well.  Concerts will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Incarnation in Poway and concert dates will be posted soon.  Some of the literature to be explored to perform is:

Brandenburg Concertos No. 1-6
Concerto Grosso Op. 6, No. 8-Corelli
Concerto in D Major-Vivaldi
Danza-Nelyhbel
Concerto in b minor-Vivaldi
additional musical selections to include
Adagio for Strings-Barber
Palladio Concerto Grosso-Jenkins
St. Paul's Suite-Holst

Symphonette members must be enrolled in this class to attend and links are provided for direct registration for this class. You may also register for both the Symphonette and PCSO.

This class is open to all traditional orchestral instruments including strings, wind, brass and percussion and ranging in age from high school to adults.
